McDermott were adding a 150 Tone winch to one of their vessels for lifting heavy equipment on and off the sea bed. Finesse provided hardware design & software development, installation and commissioning services for the PLC control system, including integration with a suit of Siemens VFD drives, and provision of dual location control with an HMI control desk on the bridge and one designed to be robust enough to be deluged by braking waves for operation locally on the back deck of the vessel.
