Finesse undertook the upgrade of an obsolete PLC system, which required migration of the program and testing in our workshops, followed by site installation works which required to be completed over a weekend in a remote location on the west coast of Scotland only accessible via a ferry to avoid costly loss of production.

Our team of 2 Engineers and 2 Technicians travelled to site ready to start work when production went off on the Friday. Working back-to-back 12 hour shifts the work continued round the clock with the old system stripped out, replaced with the new system and fully commissioned in time for the production workers to return on the Monday morning.
